One Year at Full Throttle! 🏎️
Today is a very special milestone. Exactly one year ago (June 21, 2025), the very first commit was pushed, and the development of Race Manager officially began.
What started as a small passion project has grown, thanks to community support and feedback, into a fully-fledged online motorsport management game. Over these 365 days, the game has evolved from a simple text-based simulator to a complex tactical platform featuring a live driver market, persistent leagues, and real-time multiplayer races.
Looking Back: Key Milestones
A summary of the major highlights from the first year of development:
- Leagues & Divisions: A competitive ladder was established where teams fight for promotion and championship glory.
- Dynamic Physics & Weather: Component wear, weight/height performance penalties, and changing weather conditions were introduced, forcing on-the-fly strategy calls.
- Endurance & Sprints: The racing weekend format was expanded to include high-speed sprints and grueling multi-hour endurance races with driver swaps.
- Interactivity: Real-time race chat, Telegram authentication, transfer history, and contract negotiations were added.
- Custom Livery Editor: A livery editor was created, allowing every manager to design a unique identity visible directly on the cars during races.
