Guide: League Cup — The Knockout Battle

Play-offs in the World of Engines
In addition to the regular championship, each league hosts a League Cup. This is a knockout tournament where one mistake can cost you your participation, and victory brings glory and a substantial cash bonus.
Tournament Format
The Cup is held according to the Olympic system (playoffs):
- Bracket: Generated randomly at the start of the season from all teams in the division.
- Rounds: Cup stages (1/8, 1/4, semi-final, and final) are tied to the regular championship calendar. The result of your cup match is determined by the results of a specific league race.
- Matches: In each round, you battle one-on-one with another team. The winner is the one whose driver achieves the best individual finish (highest position) in the designated race. If both teams' best drivers finish in the same position (extremely rare) or both DNF, the winner is determined randomly.

The Cup bracket clearly shows your path to the final.
Cup Features
- Byes: If the number of teams in the league is not a power of two (e.g., 10 or 12), some teams may start the tournament directly from the second round by draw.
- The Final: The main match for the trophy is always held during the season finale. This makes the end of the championship as epic as possible.
- Rewards: The Cup winner receives a unique honorary trophy in their profile and a permanent record in the team's history. It is a mark of prestige that sets you apart from other managers.
Cup Strategy
Since cup matches take place simultaneously with regular races, you will have to prioritize:
- If you are hopelessly behind in the championship, the cup is your chance to save the season and earn money.
- In a cup match, it's not just important to finish high, but to finish above your direct competitor in the bracket. Monitor their tactics in real-time!
💡 Tip: Psychological pressure in the cup final is immense. Ensure your drivers have maximum morale and a fresh set of parts for this decisive weekend.
Win the cup and write your team's name into the history of the league!
