The Path of Innovation
In Race Manager, victories are won not only on the asphalt but also in the laboratories. The Research system allows your team to evolve, unlocking access to new materials, parts, and strategic opportunities.
Research Points (RP)
RP is your currency for technological progress. Unlike money, it cannot simply be earned from sponsors.
Sources of RP:
- Race Participation: The better your result, the more data your engineers collect, and the more RP you earn.
- Race Quests: Before the start, you receive tasks (e.g., "Finish both cars in the top 10"). Completing them yields substantial RP bonuses.
- Daily Rewards: Regular team work is encouraged with an influx of new ideas and points.
- Random Events: Sometimes a successful interview or a scientific breakthrough can bring you a sudden research bonus.

The tech tree is divided into branches: Aerodynamics, Engine, Chassis, and more.
How Does the Tech Tree Work?
All research is organized into a hierarchical structure — the Tech Tree.
- Development Branches: You can focus on engine power, wing efficiency, or the reliability of cooling systems.
- Tiers: Technologies are divided into levels. To unlock advanced Tier 2 or Tier 3 solutions, you first need to study the basic technologies of the previous level.
- Requirements: Many complex components require knowledge from related fields. For example, developing an efficient diffuser might require studying advanced underbody materials and basic rear wing aerodynamics.
Why Research Technologies?
Each unlocked technology gives your team one of several advantages:
- Increased Part Level: Allows for the production of more advanced parts (e.g., Tier 2 Engine).
- Attribute Bonuses: Permanent boosts to car performance or reliability.
- New Opportunities: Unlocking special engine modes or improved ERS systems.
Research Strategy
Don't try to research everything at once.
- Calendar Adaptation: If there are many high-speed tracks with long straights ahead, invest in the Engine. If twisty city tracks predominate, focus on Aerodynamics and Chassis.
- Specialization: Sometimes it's more beneficial to be the best in one area (e.g., having the best engine in the league) than to have average performance across everything.
💡 Tip: Keep an eye on your competitors progress. If you start falling behind in the technological race, even the most talented driver won't be able to compensate for the car's lack of speed.
Invest in the future and become the technological leader of the championship!
