Master Every Turn on the Calendar

In motorsport, seconds are won not only through engine power and aerodynamics, but also through how intimately a driver knows every bump, braking point, and apex of a circuit.

Previously, the Simulator building in headquarters was used exclusively for maintaining driver endurance and conditioning (Fitness). In this update, the Simulator's functionality has been significantly expanded: your drivers can now undergo virtual simulator sessions on specific circuits from the season calendar to increase their Track Knowledge.

Why Track Knowledge Matters

Track Knowledge is tracked individually for each driver on every circuit (ranging from 0% to 100%) and provides two major advantages during a race weekend:

• ⏱️ Direct Lap Time Boost: High Track Knowledge grants up to +1.5 performance points, equating to gaining 0.3 – 0.5 seconds per lap.
• 🎯 Pace Consistency (-20% Variance): A driver who thoroughly knows the track layout is far less likely to make small braking errors, lock up tires, or lose time in individual sectors.
• 🏎️ Qualification Edge: Track Knowledge is directly factored into the qualification simulation algorithm, helping drivers secure higher grid positions.

How Simulator Training Works

On the Training page (/team/training), a new skill category is available in the selection menu — Track Knowledge.

• Track Selection: You can assign your driver to learn any track from the calendar or choose the upcoming Grand Prix (highlighted with a star ★).
• Simulator Level: Each level of your Headquarters Simulator building reduces training cycle time by 5% (up to -50% at Max Level 10).
• Driver Experience Bonus: Seasoned veterans master new track layouts faster. Experience provides up to +30% training speed bonus (at 100 Exp).
• Specialist Modifiers:
  • Fitness Training duration is improved by your Physiotherapist.
  • Track Knowledge Training duration is improved by Simulator Level and Driver Experience.

Knowledge Dynamics and Post-Race Bonuses

Track Knowledge is a dynamic stat that fluctuates over time:

1. 🏁 Post-Race Bonus (+15%): After competing in an actual Grand Prix, the driver automatically gains +15% Track Knowledge for that circuit from real-world racing experience.
2. 📉 Layout Decay: Circuits that a driver hasn't raced on recently will gradually degrade over time.
3. 🧠 Experience Mitigation: Inexperienced rookie drivers lose up to 5% layout knowledge per season, whereas veterans (100 Exp) forget track layouts twice as slowly (just 2.5%).
