Guide: Staff — Engineers and Managers

Table of Contents
The Team Behind the Scenes
While all the attention on race day is focused on the drivers, the real victory is forged in the design bureau and headquarters offices. In Race Manager, staff is divided into two key categories: Engineers and Managers.
Engineers: Creators of Speed
Engineers are responsible for the technical superiority of your car and its setup during the race weekend.
- Race Engineer: The person closest to the driver.
- Synergy: The more races they spend together, the higher their level of understanding. This gives bonuses to race pace, tire management, and setup accuracy.
- Synergy Bonuses: Significant boosts are unlocked at 5, 10, and 25 joint races. Maximum performance benefit is achieved after 20-25 races.
- Chief Designer: Responsible for the overall car layout and chassis design. Their skill directly reduces the cost of car upgrades and research.
- Aero Engineer: Their area of responsibility is downforce and air resistance. Critically important for fast tracks and aerodynamic upgrades.
- Motor Engineer: Power unit specialist. Influences top speed and engine reliability.

A strong technical staff is the key to a fast car.
Managers: Architects of Success
Managers handle logistics, finances, and the team's reputation.
- Sporting Director: Master of strategy. Influences the speed of mechanics during pit stops and tactical decision-making.
- Commercial Director: Your link to the world of big money. Helps secure more lucrative contracts with sponsors.
- PR Manager (Media Handling): Works with the press and fans. Increases the team's reputation, making it easier to negotiate with top drivers.
- Scout: The eyes and ears of the team in the talent market. The higher their level, the more accurate characteristics of hidden talents they can reveal.
Staff Skills
Like drivers, staff members have their own attributes:
- Level and Experience: Influence overall efficiency in their role.
- Skill: The primary parameter for performing professional tasks.
- Creativity: Allows engineers to find innovative solutions when designing parts.
Negotiations and Hiring
When hiring a new staff member, you enter a negotiation process.
- Team Reputation: The higher your status, the more willing professionals will be to join you.
- Salary and Bonuses: You can offer more money now (signing bonus) or a higher salary in the future.
- Negotiation Attempts: The number of attempts is limited. If you fail to reach an agreement, you will have to wait for the next transfer window.
💡 Tip: Don't forget about headquarters limits! You cannot hire more staff than your current building levels allow.
Assemble your dream team, and the championship title won't be far away!
