Guide: Team Management Basics

Your Racing Empire

Your team is the heart of your career in Race Manager. Every decision you make, from choosing your livery colors to firing staff, shapes your path to the championship. The most important metric of your organization's success is your Team Level.

Why is Team Level Important?

Your Team Level dictates the quality of personnel you can attract. The game features a strict rule: you cannot hire a driver or staff member whose level is higher than your team's level. If your team is level 10, elite level 15 engineers and drivers will simply refuse to negotiate with you.

Track your progress: every new level unlocks access to better specialists.

How to Earn Experience (XP)?

Your team levels up by accumulating experience points:

  • Racing: Simply finishing a race grants base XP. You receive substantial bonuses for scoring points, securing podiums, winning, and setting the fastest lap.
  • Daily Rewards: Log in every day. Consistency is rewarded with excellent XP bonuses.
  • Season Rewards: Completing a season and achieving your board's objectives provides a massive boost to your development.

Staff Structure and Limits

Your headquarters has strict limits on the number of professionals you can employ simultaneously:

  • Drivers: 2 seats for main racing drivers.
  • Engineers: Up to 6 specialists. This includes your Chief Designer, Aerodynamicists, and Motor Engineers.
  • Managers: Up to 6 positions. This includes Sporting Directors, PR Managers, Commercial Directors, and Scouts.

💡 Tip: While you can have up to 6 of each, you only need one of each specific role (like one PR Manager) to get their full benefit. Choosing the right mix is part of your strategy!

Firings and Penalties

If an employee isn't meeting expectations, you can terminate their contract in the Team Management section. However, be prepared for a financial hit: early contract termination will cost you a severance package equal to 50% of their total salary for the remaining races on their contract. Weigh your staffing decisions carefully!

Customization

You can always customize your team's identity in the settings:

  • Identity: Change your team name and upload a custom logo.
  • Livery: Fully customize your car by adjusting livery patterns, primary and secondary colors, and paint finishes (Gloss, Matte, etc.).
  • Visuals: These changes are purely aesthetic and do not cost reputation or money, unlike renaming a driver.

Build your dream team and lead them to the top of world motorsport!
