Race Manager Update 1.6.5

We are thrilled to present Race Manager Update 1.6.5! This release expands your car engineering suite with dedicated Brakes and ERS components, brings full localization support for Spanish, Italian, French, and German, introduces the competitive Pit Crew Championship, team direct messages, press releases in the news feed, dynamic track debris with puncture risks and Safety Car deployments, and brand-new race ratings alongside car suitability analytics.

[NEW] New Features & Content

  • New Car Parts — Brakes & ERS System:
    • Braking System (Brakes): A mission-critical car component determining stopping power in heavy deceleration zones, turn-in stability, and thermal efficiency. Brake wear directly affects lockup probability and corner excursions.
    • Energy Recovery System (ERS): A full hybrid power unit module that empowers managers with tactical electric boost deployment during critical overtaking and defensive moments.
  • Game Localization (4 New Languages):
    • Race Manager is now fully playable in Spanish (Español), Italian (Italiano), French (Français), and German (Deutsch).
    • Complete translations for user interface, sporting regulations, live race commentary, and headquarters facilities.
  • New League Regulation — Pit Crew Championship:
    • A dedicated season-long competitive standings table celebrating pit crew excellence.
    • Teams are scored on pit stop speed and consistency, rewarding the cleanest and fastest crews in the league with prestigious accolades and prizes.
  • Direct Messages Between Teams:
    • Team principals can now send private direct messages to one another: coordinate race strategies, discuss driver transfers, build alliances, or exchange thoughts after a thrilling Grand Prix.
  • Expanded News Feed — Team Press Releases:
    • Managers can now publish official team press releases to the global league news feed. Celebrate victories, address controversial incidents, or make strategic roster statements.
  • Dynamic Track Debris & Safety Car Deployments:
    • Collisions, wheel-to-wheel contacts, and mechanical failures now scatter physical debris onto the circuit.
    • Driving over carbon shards introduces a substantial risk of instant punctures and aero damage.
    • When debris builds up to dangerous levels, race control deploys the Safety Car to allow track marshals to sweep the racing line.
  • Post-Race Ratings:
    • Rate completed races on the official results page! Share your verdict on race drama, excitement, and strategic depth to contribute to the global weekend rating.
  • Car Circuit Suitability Widget:
    • A handy analytical widget in the race preparation hub that visualizes how well your car's setup and attributes (downforce, top speed, braking performance) match the demands of the upcoming track.

[UPDATE] Gameplay & Balance

  • Sprint Races Overhaul:
    • Implemented a daily limit of 5 competitive sprint attempts.
    • Revised rewards structure: sprints now grant Team XP instead of Research Points (RP), accelerating overall team progression and prestige.
  • New Suppliers for Endurance Marathons:
    • Expanded the Endurance Championship supplier catalog with dedicated contracts for Brakes and Fuel, featuring bespoke degradation rates and endurance performance profiles.
  • ERS Charge Mode Streamlining:
    • Removed the standalone manual "recharge mode" for ERS. Energy harvesting and deployment have been streamlined into balanced automated and attack profiles, reducing unnecessary micro-management in the cockpit.

[FIX] Fixes & Optimization

  • High-Speed Straight Line Car Stutter:
    • Resolved visual car shaking and micro-stuttering while accelerating at top speeds down long straights in the 2D race visualizer.
  • Animation Performance Optimization:
    • Refactored UI transition animations and live race graphics rendering to minimize GPU compositing overhead and ensure smooth frame rates across all devices.
  • Driver Aggression Balancing:
    • Fine-tuned the driver aggression parameter to provide a more nuanced balance between wheel-to-wheel overtaking gains, incident risk, and component wear.
  • Staff Contract Extension Salaries Fixed:
    • Resolved an issue where developed specialists demanded sub-market salaries upon contract renewal. Leveled-up staff members now benchmark their renewal demands to at least the current market average for their skill level.
