Guide: Training — How to Prepare an Athlete

Why is Training Necessary?

In modern motorsport, a driver is primarily an athlete. In Race Manager, racing skills (speed, overtaking, defending) are honed only in the heat of real battles on the track. However, there is one critically important parameter that you must develop at the headquarters — Endurance (Fitness).

Fitness and Its Impact

A high Fitness rating allows a driver to:

  • Maintain Concentration: Fatigue at the end of a race leads to silly mistakes and time loss.
  • Consistent Pace: A physically prepared driver loses less speed during long stints.
  • Rapid Recovery: After each race, a drivers Fitness decreases by 2-5 points (the effect of accumulated fatigue). Training helps regain form.

Regular training is the key to consistent results at the finish line.

How the Learning Process Works

Training is an investment of time and money.

  1. Cost and Time: Depend on how far the current Fitness rating is from the ideal 100 points. The more you need to "level up," the more expensive and longer the session will be.
  2. Role of the Simulator: The level of the Simulator building in your headquarters directly affects efficiency. Each new level reduces the cost and time of training by 5%.
  3. Driver Potential: Talented drivers with high potential catch on quickly, which further reduces training time.

Important Rules

  • Training Priority: While a driver is in the process of training, their Fitness does not decrease after races. This is a great way to "freeze" form during a busy calendar.
  • One Action at a Time: A driver cannot train and simultaneously participate in other activities requiring their personal presence (e.g., certain random events).
  • Completion: Upon completion of training, you will receive a notification, and the Fitness skill will be updated automatically.

💡 Tip: Don't wait until Fitness drops to critical levels. Start short training sessions between races to ensure your driver is always at peak performance!
