Racing with Emotion
We are thrilled to announce a major update to the race simulation engine (v1.4.7): Dynamic Morale & Reliability.
Previously, a driver's morale was calculated only after the race finished. Now, the state of both the driver and the car shifts dynamically during the race, making the experience more realistic and strategically deep.
Dynamic Morale
Every action on the track now has psychological consequences:
- Successful Overtakes: Gaining a position boosts confidence, improving stability and pace.
- Mistakes and Spins: Locking up tires or spinning out will frustrate the driver, increasing the chance of further errors.
- Fastest Laps: Setting the fastest lap gives a surge of motivation.
- Accidents and Damage: Sustaining wing damage or suffering a puncture deals a significant blow to the driver's mental state.
Deep Reliability & Wear
Cars are no longer invincible. We have introduced a detailed component wear system:
- Individual Component Wear: Engine, Chassis, Underbody, and both Wings now wear down independently.
- Performance Impact: A worn engine loses power, a damaged underbody affects aerodynamics, and a tired chassis makes the car less responsive.
- Red Zone: If a component's condition falls below 20%, it enters a critical phase with a risk of sudden breakdown.
Advanced Pit-Stops & Repairs
We've removed the "auto-repair" feature for wings. Now, strategy is entirely in your hands:
- Manual Selection: In the
Quick Pitmenu, you decide exactly which components to fix. - Time Penalty: Every repair adds precious seconds to your pit stop. Decide: risk it on a worn part or lose time to regain speed.
UI Improvements
- AI Toggle: Hand over control to the autopilot or take command yourself right in the heat of the battle.
- Updated HUD: Car condition is now always visible — the wear bar is located right under the driver's morale indicator.
See you on the track!
